About Me

John and I have been married for 9 years and live in Katy, Texas in our first home. Johnny is seven years old now and is a blast to be around. Olivia is four and is a little busy bee. We had Drew in April and have loved having a baby in our home again. John works at his father's company, G&A Partners, and just received his MBA from the University of Texas. As for me, I'm playing mommy all day and just loving life!

More Livy

Our little Livy girl will be a week old tomorrow. She has been such a good girl, we just love her to pieces!

I just love this picture from the hospital. I think they put lip gloss on her!

Both of my babies have LOVED to lay on Mimi's chest.

Sweet baby love

I have to strip her naked to feed her or she'll sleep FOREVER. But she is so alert and fun to watch!

Here She Is!

She's finally here! I had contractions all day Monday....nothing happened. They stopped at around 9 PM. But Tuesday morning at 5:30 I went into the hospital to be induced. I was hooked up by 6:30, they broke my water at 7:30, got my epidural by 8:45 and three pushes later she was here at 9:47 AM. She weighed in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and is the sweetest little peanut ever! We are loving every second of her!

Johnny is doing great. He has moments of interest but mostly can not understand why his mommy sits on the couch all day and feeds this little stranger.

We'll post more pictures later when I catch up on life and some sleep!

Ten Days To Go!!

The clock is ticking so I thought I'd snap a few more pictures of the belly before Livy is here. Johnny is getting very excited to meet this little person we call baby Livy! Today he asked when my belly was going to crack so she could come out. Very clever little guy!

Key Lime Tarts

I've had a few requests for this recipe and I LOVE these tiny pieces of heaven so here you go-the recipe for my favorite little treat!

Crust Ingredients:
1 1/2 C. pretzels
1 stick butter
2 Tbl. granulated sugar

Crush pretzels, melt butter and add sugar. It should stick together when you pinch it. I like to do this in a food processor.

Key Lime Filling:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 packages softened cream cheese
1/4 C. lime juice
2 Tbl. lime zest

Mix all ingredients together until smooth.

In mini cup cake tins, put in paper liner then a tsp. of pretzel crust and pack it down. Now you can pipe in the filling using a pastry bag or a plastic bag with the corner snipped off like me!

Top with cool whip (don't use fresh whipped cream or the kind in a can, it gets runny and ugly) and a fresh raspberry. You can freeze these ahead of time for a party or shower or let them cool in the fridge at least a few hours. Enjoy!

Tagged...and bored.

I've been tagged by Katie and Crystal so I'm going to do them both right now while I procrastinate everything else in my life that I should be doing.

#1
If you were an animal, which would you be? I would be a dolphin. I love the ocean and dolphins seem to have more fun than most ocean wild life, don't you think?

If you were a city, which would you be? I have no idea, that is a weird question.

If you were a vegetable, which would you be? I would be an eggplant. I seriously LOVE that purple color.

If you were a color, which would you be? I would be deep red. I love red. Just come take a tour of my house.

If you were a fruit, which would you be? Definitely a pineapple. They're so cool looking.

If you were a season, which would you be? Summer. But not in Houston. I would be Summer in San Diego. Mmmmmm.....

If you were a shoe, which would you be? FLIP FLOPS, duh! I wear them year round. Even when I was in Utah.

If you were a vehicle, which would you be? I would be a Shelby Cobra. There was a time when I knew a lot about cars, now all I know is I need a new one and I still like those Shelby Cobras.

If you were an appliance, which would you be? Another lame question but I think I would be a dishwasher, god's gift to women.

If you were a Disney character, which would you be? Tinkerbell. I've always wanted to have cute short hair, and pixie dust seems pretty sweet!

If you were a time of day, which would you be? Dusk. Right before the sun goes down.

If you were a cereal, which would you be? I've never been a huge cereal fan. But I love me some maple and brown sugar oatmeal!

If you were an instrument, which would you be? A TUBA. Johnny's favorite instrument. That one is for you mom!

10 years ago: I was a freshman at Gilbert High school, my life was volleyball, and I thought Abercrombie and Fitch was the coolest brand EVER.

5 things on my to-do list today: 1. Call Juan Cervantez regarding new tile. 2. Make binders for Activity Days 3. Take a shower. 4. Clean house 5. Get dinner to Youngs by 5:30

Snacks I enjoy: String cheese, parmesean goldfish, pita bread and hummus, clementines, chips and salsa

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: Buy new car, move to dream house, buy beach house in San Diego, throw away every single thing in my closet and start fresh, give away lots of it to people who need more than dream homes and new clothes, give some to hubby for some Brooks Brothers shirts, I never forget about you honey!

3 of my bad habits: I procrastinate too much. I always throw my clothes on the ground and I don't pick them up until the next day, right honey!. I don't make my bed until 10 minutes before my hubby gets home from work...at 8:00.

5 places I have lived: Chandler, AZ, Gilbert, AZ, Provo, UT, Katy, Texas.

5 jobs that I have had : Hostess at Euro Cafe. Nanny. Research Assistant at CID in college. Mommy.

5 Things people don't know about me: I have a new freckle below my bottom lip and my mom always try to scrape it off like it's a piece of food. I don't like country music anymore. I LOVE Greek food. I really love living in Houston. No really, I do. I love midgets. No sorry, little people.

That's all folks.

A Baby Shower!

Sheree and my friend Amy threw me the cutest shower on Saturday. It was a blast to be with so many fun girls, eat some yummy food, and get some ADORABLE girly stuff!!! Let me just say, once again, that I was too busy having fun to take pictures so these will have to do. I didn't even think to get a group picture. Woopsies!

Lori was in town for her first visit to Houston and made the Toolson favorite key lime tarts :)

This is Tamara and her gourmet punch with REAL pansies in it. I ate one. They're actually pretty yum

Julia (Sheree's sister-in-law), Sheree, Me and Lori-we're all related somehow.

The Allen Girls-Gramz Neese (Denise) Ayi (that's Chinese for aunt, but her real name is Andrea) and the Prego.

And just for a little update, I am schedule to be induced on February 26th unless little Livy wants to come sooner. We're ready and waiting!
