Katie in Katy!
Someone finally came to visit me!!! My college BFF Katie Hilstead came to visit her hubby who was working in Houston and got to stay a couple days with me and my kiddies. Besides Johnny being on his WORST behavior ever, it was a great trip! Zach and Katie came to dinner on Sunday where we got to chat and get to know each other better, husbands never get to meet so that was nice! I picked her up Monday and she was all ours till Wednesday morning! Thanks for coming Kate!! Next time: NO KIDS!!!

Of course, we went the whole trip with no picture of the two of us, but this is one from when I went to Utah in March.

The babies meet each other...love at first sight.

John sported the socks w/ sandals look just for the occasion!

Zach and Johnny did a little bonding.

This is Andrew. He's pretty dang cute! And he's a talker!

Little love birds

Cutie boy

This is the mango with sticky rice dessert we had at Nit Noi. I was picturing white rice with mangoes and when this showed, we both started laughing. The brown stuff was pumpkin bread pudding/custard (weird, yes but sooooo good!). I am now a huge fan of this dessert and am considering just getting it as my meal next time.

Tubby time!!

They probably could have done this all night if it hadn't been 2000 degrees outside.

CHUB

I'm pretty sure Andrew loved the splash park!

Don't you think Katie's little girl will be super cute!?

Every kid loves to play the piano

Andrew somehow knew he was supposed to use the pedals so he was doing a little gymnast move to get it done.

I just love her. She has a cute little pony tail in the back but this just looks like a comb over. darn.

She SHARED!!

After Katie left, I had a nice long talk with Johnny about how horrible he had acted and that it was not acceptable. He went into my room and came out in this saying "mommy, is this funny?" yes. "now you're not mad at me for being bad because I made you laugh" "right mom? you're not mad anymore, right?" still trying to hold my straight face. "Ha, got ya mom, you laughed." dang it.

A Little Sun in San Antonio
John had some business in San Antonio so we woke up early Tuesday morning and drove to where his appointment was, dropped him off and went to Sea World. We have passes this year so it was a good excuse to get out of town!
The kids had a blast seeing all the animals, eating a ton of junk food and playing at the splash pad they have there. It was sooooooo hot so I was glad were constantly around water, misters and A/C! After Sea World, John met us at the hotel where we got ready and went to the River Walk for dinner. The next day we bummed around the hotel then went to the San Marcos outlets then got home in time for Johnny's last night of vacation bible school. It was the perfect trip!
Thanks daddy!
