How 'bout a fort!

We had a plumber at our house yesterday so we were on lock down until he left. We were all getting a little bored and had watched PLENTY of TV so I asked Johnny what we should do...he ran to the couch, threw off all of the cushions and said, "How 'bout a fort!!!".So that's what we did! And Livy sat and watched, such a good girl!

Lately

Here are some random pictures from last week. It was actually almost pleasant outside one night so we brought Livy girl out, read some books and let Johnny boy play in the sprinklers. Good times.

My Favorite Time of Day!

It's nap time here in the Allen house hold which is my favorite time of day! Today both of my kiddos did NOT want to sleep in their beds-Johnny is on the couch and Livy is on my bed and I don't care! They've both been sleeping for 2 1/2 hours. Heaven on Earth! And what am I doing while they sleep you ask? Admiring my new tile. I had LA-NO-LE-UM before so you can only imagine how IN LOVE I am with this tile!

Dallas!

We took a little weekend trip to Dallas to see my little (actually he's a giant) brother KC play in a basketball tournament and to see the Nixons and their beautiful new home. It was such a great weekend! We got to see our favorite friends, some great basketball and experience a really neat city!


Although it had only been four days, the boys were SO happy to see each other!

After KC's game on Saturday we had like 5 hours to kill so we went to Olive Garden and still had 3 1/2 hours so we went to KC's hotel and bummed around like total white trash. John hid us in a hallway near the banquet rooms and kept making comments to the employees who walked by like "yea, we were getting a little restless in our room so we came down here." Good one honey, totally believable! But it was nice to relax and give the kids naps!

They're Ba-ack!

Last Sunday John and Johnny boy left the girls behind and went to Destin, Florida for a week of fun in the sun with John's parents. They had a blast at the beach every day, fun restaurants every night, golfing, movies and shopping. The camera was with me so they didn't get too many pics. But here are some from the bay and fireworks on the beach on the 4th.

And just to report to all those who might think, "how sad, they left Mckell alone for a whole week?" IT WAS AWESOME!! I did everything that I have wanted to do for the past few months but haven't been able with two kids. I did a few crafts, read a few books, saw a few movies, got a great tan, did NO cooking, ate lean cuisines and frozen yogurt all week, and had lots and lots of fun bonding with my baby girl!

I am so happy to have my handsome men back home!

More potty training! Actually, I'm pretty sure he's 100% potty trained now! #2 has not been a problem lately AND he's not even wearing a pull up at night. He stays dry all night and goes in the morning! I'm shocked! I'll keep everyone posted!

The Bumbo

I bought Livs a Bumbo seat yesterday and she loves it! I giggle every time I see my little four month old sitting up straight! She watches her Baby Einstein, watches me make dinner and eats her rice cereal in her new little chair. Isn't she the cutest Daddy?! We miss you!

Oh, what a proud day in a mother's life!! After spending two days shacked up in my house refusing to put a diaper on the kid, he finally did it...at the pool, so I didn't get a picture or trust me, I'd have a picture of the specimen! And he finally got his "poo poo present" that has been sitting on top of our fridge for a month! Yipeeeeee!!!!
